Turkey Give Away ~

​Greetings JBS Families,

With Christmas right around the corner, it’s the perfect time for JBS to get into the spirit of giving and help others in need.  We’ve been very fortunate to have use of the gym at Fern Bacon Middle School, and I would like to show our appreciation by providing Christmas dinners to the families of this Title 1 school community, where 90% of the students live below the poverty line. 

Our goal is to help 100 families.  In order to do so, we are asking each family to donate a turkey or $25 to help purchase the dinners.  Turkeys (maybe with a pie) can be delivered to the school the morning of the event.  If donating money, please do so by Sunday December 15, 2019.    

This event will take place on Saturday December 21, 2019 at 9:00am at Fern Bacon Middle School.  Anyone wishing to volunteer (players and parents) to pass out dinners to families should arrive by 8:00am.  PLEASE WEAR A JBS T-SHIRT OR SWEATSHIRT.  This is a great opportunity for our children to learn the value of helping others!
